Oil in the Ears, Blindfolds on the Eyes

(1) For years, our so-called "patriotic intellectuals"—the likes of Kanak Mani Dixit, Saurav, Arun Subedi, Bharat Dahal, Punya Gautam, and Arjun Gyawali—dismissed the constitutional pillars of Republicanism, Secularism, Proportionality, and Inclusivity as nothing more than a "Western agenda." They went as far as branding figures like Khagendra Sangroula, Yug Pathak, Balkrishna Mabuhang, Dr. Om Gurung, Pradip Giri, CK Lal, and Aahuti as "Western agents."

Yet, today, as the ruling establishment of the NCP (Nekapa) aggressively champions the MCC, these very same "patriots" are sitting silently with oil in their ears. Doesn't this reveal, once and for all, who the real mouthpieces for Western interests are?

(2) Then we have our female leaders—the likes of Ram Kumari Jhakri, Shanta Chaudhary, Binda Pandey, Bina Magar, and others—who reached Parliament by running "shops" in the name of women’s rights. Why are they now sitting with blindfolds on their eyes while their own comrade, Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe, is being used as a bargaining chip by the party leadership?

It is truly beyond comprehension.
