Destiny’s Cruel Hand: A Poem of Lost Promises
We swore to live and die together in every moment of life,
But our vow became like a fallen leaf in the autumn chill.
I try to forget the past, yet why does it startle me so?
Your haunting memories have piled like layers within my soul.

I live in the dilemma of remembering and forgetting,
The journey is draped in darkness, like a moonless night.
Whom do I ask? What do I do? My heart has no anchor,
Fate turned out to be a stranger; only misfortune remains by my side.

What a destiny! In this birth, I could not grace your brow with vermilion,
They speak of rebirth, but that is a different story altogether.
By shattering the palaces of my dreams like a mirror,
It was the hand of fate that broke them into a hundred pieces.

I try to compose myself, but I stumble somewhere in a daze,
Your love became for me the intoxication of wine.
There is no one here today to listen or understand,
Even this cruel society became a betrayal against us.
